Our Mission
The Helping Angels is a non-profit professional women's organization committed to helping meet the needs of women, children, and the elderly in our community.
About Us
The Helping Angels is a non-profit women's organization established in 1996. The organization was created to provide a wide range of community and charitable services to populations that have historically been underserved: women, children, and the elderly. The Helping Angels are bound by a commitment to help these groups in our communities to survive and flourish. As new generations of women become professionals, the organization hopes to provide role models for women who face the challenges of being a professional in today's global environment.
Since its formation, the Helping Angels have generously and energetically hosted a variety of events and charitable works that have impacted women, children, and the elderly in ways unheard of for such a young organization. This success is attributed to a vibrant and active Board of Directors, elected officers, professional women members and volunteers. It is through all these efforts that the organization manages to accomplish what is often considered impossible or unreachable. The organization donates 100% of all proceeds. There are no salaries, rent or needless expenses.
The Helping Angels have donated their time and personal resources to organize: holiday events for impoverished elderly, toy drives for needy children, day events for battered women and abused teenagers and a scholarship fund to help educate young women in need of financial assistance who wish to attend college. In addition, members of the Helping Angels have been participants in various national and local walkathons to help raise monies and awareness for diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and breast cancer. As a result of their untiring efforts, endless energy, serious commitment, willingness to extend themselves and selfless determination, the Helping Angels have made a significant difference in the lives of countless women, children, and the elderly. The Helping Angels have received numerous awards and recognition for their service and dedication to the community.
The Helping Angels intend to persevere in their commitment to attend to the needs of women, children, and the elderly and in doing so, be proactive in bettering the lives of those who go unnoticed, uncared for and unattended.
It is with this pledge in mind that the Helping Angels invite you to come forth and join forces in order to make a difference for the future is ours to shape.
